ALMI BOAT — learn a foreign language from scratch, using the method of polyglot Lydka Hric Machová You may know it: you start learning a language, but after a few weeks you give up. And again. ALMI teaches you using the method by which Lýdia Hric Machová — a polyglot and TED speaker — learned 7 of her nine languages on her own, without teachers or living abroad. Your AI mentor ALMI has all of Lydka’s knowledge trained within her, and will help you put it into practice. HOW IT WORKS The basis is the method of back-translations: 1. You tell ALMI what you want to learn — a situation from your life, not from a textbook. For example, checking in at a hotel, ordering food at a restaurant, or introducing your family. 2. ALMI will prepare a short text for you on this topic — tailored to you and your level. 3. You will learn this text using the back-translation method: you translate it from Slovak into a foreign language, sentence by sentence, out loud. The language is not anchored by reading it — it is anchored when you say it yourself. 4. You record an ALMI voice memo and it will evaluate how well you have mastered the text — and when you can move on. In addition, ALMI will explain grammar to you simply and in your own way, whenever you don’t understand something. She is a mentor and a tutor in one.
