Example: 15% off 200 is 170. Tax: Add tax to an amount. Example: 18% tax on 200 makes 236. Tip: Add a tip and split the bill. Example: 15% tip on 200 makes 230. Reverse %: Find the original number from a part and its percentage. Example: 50 is 20% of 250. Point Difference: Compare two percentages. Example: 20% to 25% is 5 points, a 25% relative change. Chained %: Apply two changes in a row. Example: +10% then −20% on 100 ends at 88, a net −12%. Margin & Markup: Profit shown as margin (of sale) and markup (of cost). Example: cost 80, sale 100 gives 20% margin, 25% markup. Interest: Compare simple and compound interest. Rate is annual, applied over the number of years.
