Store description excerpt
ALEATOR is a single-player roguelite built on the math of a craps table. No real money. No opponents. No timers. Two dice, a bankroll, and a run that can end on any roll. Every run starts small at Table 1. Hit the table's chip target to move up. Survive all seven tables — including the ones where the House starts playing back — and you've won. Fall below the minimum bet with nothing on the felt, and the run is over. EVERY NUMBER IS AN UPGRADE PATH Win a place bet and you choose: take the money, or press it back down. Press it, win again, and you can forfeit the entire payout to permanently level that number — Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. A Diamond number pays far past true odds, and it holds that level for the rest of the run, across every table. That's the whole tension of the game. Every win is a decision card, and the greedy answer and the correct answer are almost never the same. CIRCUIT BREAKERS Hardways pay 7:1 and 9:1, but the payout isn't the point. When one hits, you can sacrifice the win to energize that number's breaker — or build the charge with the right cards. Each live breaker adds crit chance and crit multiplier to every payout you collect after it. Light all four and you're at FULL CIRCUIT: everything can crit. CHAIN YOUR HARDWAYS Back-to-back hardway hits climb the crit chain — ZAP, SURGE, STORM, OVERLOAD — multiplying each hardway payout as it builds. The seven resets it. Of course it does. THE FIRE METER Make points and the meter climbs. It stretches your free-odds ceiling and multiplies your point-hit payouts as it rises — the fastest money in the game, and the first thing the seven takes. FOURTEEN TOOLS Field wins and hop bets drop dice-manipulation tools across four rarities. Flip a die. Freeze one in place for the next roll. Reroll one and force it odd. Peek at the next three outcomes. Set both dice to any face you want. You carry three at a time and each one is single use. The question is never whether a tool is good — it's whether this roll is the one worth spending it on. THE SEVEN TAKES EVERYTHING Pass line and odds. Every place bet. Every hardway. The fire meter. Your levels survive. Almost nothing else does. REAL CRAPS MATH, HONESTLY IMPLEMENTED Pass line with true-odds free odds, place bets at correct base payouts, come bets that travel, hardways, the field with 2 and 12 bonuses, hop bets, and a full dark side — don't pass, don't come, and lay bets with their own cold meter. If you already play craps, none of it will surprise you. If you don't, the game teaches you one bet at a time. WHAT YOU GET - Seven tables per run, from the casino floor to places the casino doesn't admit exist - Permanent five-tier place leveling that carries across tables - Four circuit breakers, a crit chain, and fire and cold meters - Fourteen tools across common, uncommon, rare, and epic - A deck of 65 Aleator cards that bend the table's rules — drafted between tables - Decision cards on every win: collect, press, lev
