Aksan puts one Armenian letter or phrase in front of you at a time, all day, on the surfaces you already look at. There are no lessons and no study sessions. A complication on your watch face and a widget on your home screen show one thing at a time and move on by themselves — every hour, or three times a day, whichever suits you. Tap to hear it. Tap again for what it means. That is the whole idea. Recognition is built by meeting a letter twenty times in passing, not by grinding it once. Aksan is designed to be glanced at and closed, not opened and worked through. WHAT IS IN IT - The 40 letters of the Armenian alphabet, each with a recording, its name, and the words it appears in - 134 everyday phrases — greetings, food, directions, shopping, getting by - A circular complication and a phrase complication for the watch face - Widgets for iPhone and iPad, with Listen and Next on the tile itself - Pin any letter or phrase to keep it in view until midnight - Put a phrase on your Lock Screen for an hour to four, and it stays there while you are out - English or Russian, with the pronunciation written for whichever one you read NO STREAKS Nothing here punishes a missed day. There is no streak to break, no notification asking where you went, and no mascot. Come back after three weeks and Aksan shows you what is ready, not what you missed. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE Everything is on your device. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, nothing sent anywhere. It works with no connection at all, and the watch app runs on its own if your phone is elsewhere. Pronunciation audio is synthesized.
