AiCalla is a privacy-first Android call protection and call management app built for South Africa. No Contacts permission. No Call Log permission. No call recording. AiCalla adds a Shield to the Phone app you already use. Eligible unknown incoming calls are checked locally and handled according to your rules and Shield settings. AiCalla can let a call ring, keep it quiet or block it. After the call, you can see why and choose what should happen next time. KEEP YOUR PHONE APP AiCalla works alongside your existing Phone app. You do not need to replace your normal dialler or make AiCalla your default Phone app. PRIVACY WITHOUT EXTRA PERMISSIONS The current release does not request Contacts or full Call Log access. AiCalla does not: • upload your contact list • upload your full device Call Log • record or transcribe calls • answer calls using AI • use call information to target advertising Limited pseudonymous screening, feedback, community and service information may sync after a call. This never decides whether the live call rings. BUILD YOUR SHIELD Answer four questions about unknown calls, interruptions, repeat callers and expected callbacks. AiCalla recommends a Shield profile and lets you review it before anything changes. Your trusted, silenced and blocked rules always take priority. RING, SILENCE OR BLOCK AiCalla can: • let trusted and potentially important calls ring • silence unknown or nuisance interruptions • block callers according to your rules and feedback • recognise qualifying repeat-call patterns • explain why each call was handled that way AiCalla does not assume every unknown caller is spam. A courier, clinic, school, recruiter or service provider may call from a number you have never seen. Start a Call Window when waiting for a delivery, clinic, school, recruiter or service callback. Choose 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or an end time. Ordinary unknown callers can temporarily ring while blocked and silenced rules remain protected. Your normal Shield returns automatically. LOCAL-FIRST PROTECTION Live decisions happen on your device and do not wait for the backend, billing, ads, analytics or cloud AI. If the network is unavailable, Shield continues using valid information stored locally. Eligible activity can be backed up later. Community reports may add context about nuisance, spam, direct-marketing, service and useful calls. They do not prove identity and never override your rules.
