Store description excerpt

This app does not judge whether a mushroom is edible. Never use it to decide whether a mushroom is safe to put in your mouth. AI Mushroom Field Notes is for observing, collecting and keeping the mushrooms you meet on a forest walk, a camping trip, or an ordinary stroll. It is not a tool for naming things. What a photo can show is the nearest family or genus, and the app will not declare a species. [The nearest relatives, from a photo] - From a photo you take, or one from your album, the AI inside your phone suggests family and genus candidates, such as "close to Amanitaceae / Amanita" - Only two ways of saying it: "close" and "possibly close". No percentages - When it does not know, it says so honestly: "could not find a close relative". It will not invent an answer [Keep the day you met it] - Save the photo and the date as an observation note - A candidate can be attached to the note with a tap, but it is never treated as a confirmed species - Location is not used. Your places are never recorded without you [A field guide you can simply read] - 15 families and 18 genera, written from scratch in Japanese and English - Appearance / season / where you may meet it / clues for telling them apart / how it lives / a small surprising fact / a word from Sakura - Every page names its sources (ja/en Wikipedia, GBIF Backbone Taxonomy) - The guide can be read without taking any photo [About look-alikes] - Mushrooms that look alike in colour and shape can belong to completely different groups - Even specialists will not declare a species from a single photo - Neither will this app. That is why it is built not to answer too much [Made to be safe to use] - The judgement runs inside your phone only. Photos and notes are never sent anywhere - No account needed - No ads - The guide and your notes are free, and stay free [One-time Premium] - Not a subscription. One payment opens the photography tips and observation hints for every group - On a new phone, use "Restore purchase" Developed by SAKURA PRODUCTS [About in-app purchase] - Premium (one-time purchase) - opens photography tips and a fuller guide to observing - There is no subscription. You pay only once - Without buying, the core features stay exactly as they are - Please check the purchase screen for the price
