The AHA Harvest Site Recorder is a simple, secure tool for US forestry professionals to record the GPS location of hardwood harvest sites. Developed by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) as part of the American Hardwood (AHA) platform, this app supports the industry's compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) by helping build an accurate, satellite-based picture of where legal hardwood harvesting takes place across the United States. Recording a site takes only a few taps. All entries are collected anonymously – no personal or landowner information is captured, only the harvest location itself. Data is retained for five years and used solely to train and validate AHEC's satellite-based forest monitoring systems.
