Tur planting Medium to heavy (45 to 60 cm deep) well drained soil is suitable for tur cultivation. This crop does not grow well in loamy, wetland, alkaline soils. The sowing of trumpets should be completed between the second week of June and the first week of July, when the sowing rains are due and the soil is well drained. When cultivating intercrop method, tur more millet (1-2), tur more sunflower (1-2), tur more soybean (1-3), tur more sorghum (1-2 or 1-4), tur more cotton (1-) 6 or 1-8), tur plus groundnut (1-3), tur plus green (1-3), tur plus urad (1-2).
