AcuStorm is acupuncture application for professionals, students and amateurs. At the moment application supports Traditional, Five-Element, Meridian Style, Dr. Tan's Balance Method and Master Tung's styles of acupuncture. All the functionality and content are divided into tabs with the following key features. Atlas: - three-layer color figures; - single, multi-window and full-screen mode; - zooming and scrolling of figures; - selecting figures and easy pseudo-3D navigation with a history; - displaying points and channels in accordance with required filters; - displaying point combinations in multi-window mode; - displaying points in the clipboard (an illustration of any texts); - point pop-up summary; - dynamic projections (images): select sick area and find its corresponding therapeutic areas. Points: - channel and extra points description from Acupuncture: A Comprehensive Text by Shanghai College of Traditional Medicine translated by John O'Connor and Dan Benski; - channels with the information compiled from several sources; - channel circuits constructed from the channels related according to 5 types of connections with their indications, functions, illustrations, and application; - images and mirrors reflecting correspondence between parts of the human body; - points locations clarified by several reliable textbooks and atlases; - Master Tung's points compiled from several sources; - Named Combinations such as composed points, Miriam Lee's Ten Points, Dr. Tan's Smart Combos and 12 Magic Points; - flat lists of points with bookmarks for fast access; - searching and filtering of channels and points; - paging and hyperlinks with history; - division of information into the toggled sections keeping their state while paging; - local scalable drawings; - favorites bookmarks; - point categories. Therapy: - point functions, indications, combinations compiled from several sources; - chapter "Therapy" from the Acupuncture: A Comprehensive Text; - body areas with the passing channels, balancing channels according to Dr. Tan, correponding images, homological anatomical structures, acupuncture points targeting to these areas; - searching and filtering of functions, indications, combinations, conditions; - flat lists with bookmarks and filters for fast access; - paging and hyperlinks with history; - displaying point combinations in the atlas in multi-window mode; - division of information into the toggled sections keeping their state while paging; - user notes with possibility to display their points in atlas; - favorites bookmarks.
