Store description excerpt
In the deep, you are the only light left. Abyssal is a calm arcade descent through a dark ocean. Guide a small bioluminescent creature with one finger, wake sleeping lights, and chain them in one unbroken flow before they fade back to sleep. Your trail of light lingers behind you, painting where you have been. DESCEND THROUGH FIVE ZONES Fifty depths, from the Sunlight Zone to the floor of the world. The water darkens as you go. Amber and deep-violet lights are worth more — if you can reach them in time. THE DARK IS NOT EMPTY Drifting stingers. Living garlands you cannot cross. A patient light in the dark that is not what it seems. And something vast that reaches into the water from somewhere you cannot see, then withdraws. A GENTLE KIND OF TENSION Your light can rekindle: mistakes cost a spark, not the dive. Lit lights stay lit. Finish a depth without losing a spark and the game remembers it. Up to four glowing companions can dive beside you — harmless fellow travelers with nowhere particular to be. MADE TO BE FELT An original ambient score with spatial audio — on supported headphones, the deep sounds around you, and you hear what approaches before you see it. Soft haptics answer your touch. Chained lights rise through a musical scale, so playing well sounds like a melody. QUIET BY DESIGN No ads. No purchases. No accounts. No timers. Fully offline. Honors Reduce Motion. Plays with touch or a game controller, on iPhone and iPad. Descend gently.
