ABIS online - Advanced Bacterial Identification Software is a laboratory tool for bacterial identification, based on morpho-biochemical characters, cultural characteristics, growth conditions, ecology and pathogenicity data. The program allows a great flexibility in choosing biochemical tests and is an alternative to commercial systems or code-books. The software is linked with a bacterial Encyclopedia, the Kauffman-White scheme for Salmonella serovars and the streptococci Lancefield grouping. Main identifiable taxa: Enterobacteriaceae, Pasteurellaceae, Campylobacteraceae, Bacillaceae, Lactobacillus, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Clostridium, Vibrio, Listeria, Erysipelothrix, Mycobacterium, Corynebacterium, Neisseria, Chromobacterium, Aeromonas, Pseudomonas and related species.
