Mā tēnei kiriata koe e ārahi. Mauri ora! Nau mai haere mai. 2022 is the first year that Aotearoa will celebrate the Māori new year with a public holiday. When Matariki’s cluster appears, we are reminded of the journey Hetekia Te Kani Te Ua took. From this journey came the knowledge and the teachings shared as a way forward for his people.
