夏休みの秘密基地から始まる、虫取りと虫相撲の物語。 川の向こうの公園に、ヘラクレスオオカブトを使うやつがいる。 そんな噂を聞いた三人は、虫かごを持って外へ飛び出します。 カブトムシやクワガタを捕まえて、育てて、仲間やライバルとの虫相撲に挑もう。 虫にはそれぞれ大きさや強さがあり、種類ごとの特徴を活かして戦えます。 バトルでは、押し合い、攻撃、投げ、そしてド派手な必殺技が勝負を動かします。 小さな土俵の上で、虫たちが火花を散らす本気の一番勝負。 秘密基地、神社、公園、森、町のお店。 いろいろな場所をめぐりながら、強い虫を探し、仲間たちと一緒に最強を目指そう。 懐かしい夏の虫取りから始まる勝負は、やがて想像を超えた熱い虫相撲へ。
